There is actually a beneficial and necessary side to mining including providing the resources needed to grow our expanding cities as well as sustain our populations. If potash for instance was not allowed to be mined, then crop yields would be a fraction of thier current size cuasing severe food shortages leading to civil unrest and mass riots (particularly in the poorest countries). God bless!!
