Any resposible company knows that corporate social responsibility and basic concern for the surrounding communities are critical sustainable operations. For now they may think they are strong enough to fleece the people. You cannot break the will of the people when their time to demand their right comes. This is a typical transnational-African government relatiionship where the African government official is bribed to allow the exploitation of his fellow countryman. This is a human rights issue and this company would rather listen to the people.

Hello,

I am glad to have read this, as it enlightens me of whats happening around those mining areas apart from hearing that ounces that are dugout of those pits .

Its hard to believe that this is happening to my fellow countrymen and makes me feel hopeless.

How can this be happening while we who live in urban areas like Dar and the likes don't know!
At least we know how to fight, in court and can afford different lawyers, even if one was bribed.

I fail to believe that we have a government put up by the people but that fails them to this extent!

This is so inhuman. Why should this be happening in Tanzania.

This is done for money, power and greed.

God bless my fellow countrymen, god bless Tanzania, and god bless Africa.

Dear Allan,

Happy new year! How are you doing?

I never tire reading "someoneelse's treasure". Sometimes I think it should be translated into Swahili - have you thought about this? When do you plan to come back
